A Question About Jewish Persons And Historical Behaviour?

At no time ever does it seem to me the “Jew” has accepted the society they were in at the time
They were hated and persecuted in Europe – but I don’t think it started because the Eurpoeans rejected them
I think it was because they rejected the Europeans refusing to associated with the nation or the King etc they were in
So my question is
Does a Jew have a nationality beyond being Jewish ?
It seems to me they do not
They are a Jew – that happens to be somewhere – The US Canada Russia etc But they are never Russian’s or Canadian’s they are Jews
They recognose only themselves keeping seperate now and in the past from the society they find themselves in
Is this in part or in whole —–true ? Am I way off base ?
Is this in part or in whole the reason they have been so universally hated for so many thousands of years ?
To me it seems quite impressive that they have remained this seperate for this long – but I do believe it was thier choice first

It’s idiots like you who blindly followed the rhetoric of “The Big Lie,” espoused by the Nazi Party in Germany.
The basis of Jewish upbringing is education: Jewish children must learn the language of their new country, Hebrew, and possibly Yiddish.
This results in Jews becoming consumate students; excelling academically.
Further, this intelligence is transferred to business acumen; many Jewish people have successful businesses.
I don’t blame you for being jealous, Player hater…

My friend is a Jew, and he is a wonderful and awesome person. But, he suffered a lot of pain from anti-Semitic attitudes when he was growing up! He has experienced being popular in school until other children found out he was Jewish, and then he was ostracized! He has experienced walking up on people while they were talking about cheap Jews, and when he told them that he found that offensive because he is a Jew, they told him to get over it! I have talked to you a little bit, and I like your political views, but I honestly hope that you are not really anti-Semitic the way you sound in this question, because that would be just wrong! I am adding what I just emailed to you, because I think that others may need to see this, too!
*Well, I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, and ask. I think that the reason they keep their religion and suffer such persecution, is because it is part of their spiritual purpose to show the rest of us, that we are not supposed to all be carbon copies of each other, and that we have to learn that we all come from the same God energy, and all of us are worthy in God’s eyes no matter what we look like, no matter what we believe, and not matter who we are trying to be, at any given time! Any group who is persecuted for any reason, are our teachers, and it is up to each of us to learn what they have to teach us, about love and about unity, and about all humanity and all living creatures of any kind, being brothers and sisters! sm*

Jews were rejected in Europe because they were outsiders. Livng in the US where immigration is celebrated, it can be easy to forget how xenophobic traditional cultures can be.
You’re trying to make it sound like they weren’t welcome in Europe because they didn’t want to “play by European rules”. They were more than willing to assimilate culturally, they just wanted the right to practice their religion, a right the Europeans weren’t willing to give them.

In some part true. The country they call home, they abandoned, were defeated, just lost control, but the British and Other nations that supported the idea gave them a foothold. They have had help in every way to Israel. You are nat all that far off base. They were the only internet before the 1700’s they had a common language and did the world’s business. They should be able to live where they want. The world is their oyster. You are kinda right.

Well – at least they arent blowing themselves (and us) up

  6. callstra says:

Being Jewish is a religion and an ethnicity, not a nationality.
And yes, we are part of the nations with which live, contributing members of society. Yes some orthodox communities do live separately. However, I live in NYC and you can go from one Orthodox Jewish neighborhood to a Russian neighborhood, to a Caribbean neighborhood. Everyone segregates themselves.

    You are way off base.

    What an inane question.
Every minority that has ever come to this country, the English, the Dutch, the Irish, Italians, Hispanics, and the rest have tried to change this country to make it more like their own.
Just drop into the different areas around San Francisco, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, New Orleans, or Houston.
Point is, your question is just another bigoted question which has no point or end than racism.
Think of it this way. White Anglo Saxon Prostestants came here on the Mayflower, stole from the indians, murdered them, and change this country to make it more like their own.
So why don’t we say they rejected the status quo when they got here?
Like I said, your question is inane.

Is a Christian or Evangelical in the United States more an American, or a Christian? There are hundreds of organizations that espouse specific political candidates and special action groups to enact religious-based, Christian views.
Is a Muslim in the UK more a British subject, or a Muslim? There are high percentages of Muslim citizens in the UK that would like to see some form of Sharia law enacted.
Your view is obtuse and selective to support what is a thinly veiled prejudice. Religion is always important and is highly influential over political and social beliefs and values. This is not something unique to the Jewish faith.

Check up on history, they are ancient Khazar’s but they won’t admit it

  11. kato outdoors says:

    Lenny Bruce was a Jew.

  12. enlighte says:

The Nation of Islam’s account of the slave trade, The Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews: Volume One, presents a multi-layered attack against the Jewish people; it assaults the integrity of the Jewish religion, the meaning of Jewish history, and the foundations of Jewish scholarship upon which the book’s own fraudulent charges are based. The anonymous authors of The Secret Relationship argue essentially that the history of slavery in the New World – which they claim accounted for the death of 100 million Africans – was initiated by Jewish ship owners and merchants, who as a group remained the main beneficiaries of the slave economy and who “carved for themselves a monumental culpability in slavery.”
    Justifying Anti-Semitism
The authors advance this bizarre thesis by unscrupulously distorting the findings of legitimate Jewish authors writing on the history of Jews in the New World. In the process, they rationalize and demean the centuries of suffering that brought Jews to the Americas. For example, the book’s introduction opens with the observation that “no single group of people have faced blanket expulsion in so many places around the world as have the Jews.” Rather than attribute this fact to the enduring legacy of anti-Semitism, however, the authors provide a list of “reasons” for these expulsions: the Jews were monopolizers, usurers, they engaged in “sharp practices” and sold “cheap” goods, they filed for frequent bankruptcies. Each of these charges, of course, stems from the timeless stereotype that Jews are inherently untrustworthy and obsessed with money, a stereotype the Nation of Islam apparently accepts as reasonable.

i now some jews! they’re cool… no dif thn me!!!!

  14. Rain says:

Their ties to their religion are very strong, they separate themselves because of religious belief. We probably should admire their conviction! However, the result has been, hatred and animosity toward them! Therefore, the problem is probably ours, not theirs! Anyone who separates themselves from the main stream, historically, is ostracized, persecuted, and hated!

  15. Paully S says:

It is starkly apparent that you don’t realize hat “Jewish” is a RELIGION, not a nationality – not a race of people.
Anyone can convert to Judaism..you could become a Jew if you wanted to; Elizabeth Taylor is a Jew, Sammy Davis Jr was a Jew….
Perhaps if you read a little more about the history of the Jews, you might be more tolerant.

  16. BJ says:

They had a nation and their nationality is Jewish. But they have always believed they are superior because at one time they were God’’s chosen people.Since they do not believe in Christ an the New Testament they still live under the laws of the Old testament. Actually it is a religious belief.

  17. ♥ Mel says:

People of the Jewish religion are as diverse and anyone else. They only reason they have been persecuted throughout history is because of people who think like you (and your like-minded friends who are out in full force tonight).

  18. tttplttt says:

They’re fine people. I couldn’t imagine a world without them. And they have assimilated here very well. You might be talking about Hasidics. They do keep to themselves, but they bother no one. I rather live around them then those carazee Muslims.

  19. Tin Foil Fez says:

yes, your off base. they are regular people like you and I are. the main difference is they maintain strong family bond and they are better than average workers, harder workers, and they are very prudent.

  20. Bruce L says:

Hello? maybe you should hop back on your little space ship and sail back to the planet you FELL FROM….. GEEZ… first off to be JEWISH is their RELIGION —-NOT a nationality….just like Catholic, hindu, prodestant, etc are RELIGIONS, not nationalities…. So, your assumptions are all screwed—a Jewish person born and raised in Canada is a CANADIAN just like anyone else born in Canada… a jewish person born and raised in Russia is a Russian and so on…. They do NOT keep themselves separate…. there are MILLIONS of jewish people living all over the united states intermingling with all the other religions that live here… There may be SECTIONS in larger cities where a lot of people from one nationality migrated to and lives like for example in New York city there is China town, there are Italian sections, Israeli sections, and lately Latin sections and Korean sections…. but people from all nationalities AND religions also live all over New York City NOT necessarily in separate sections…. this happened in NYC because when immigrants came to this country WAY back before WW1, they tended to settle where they either had relatives living or friends and sections of the city became filled with little separate nationality sections.. (little Italy too)… The only groups in HISTORY that actually tended to HATE jewish people were HITLERS NAZI’s and the Palistines… Hitler because he was just anti sementic and Palistine and Israel hated each other for years over a LAND DISPUTE… so you are WAY off base here….oh and in answer to your last statement–NO ONE CHOOSES TO REMAIN SEPARATE……..

  21. LittleBa says:

I can’t say a good jewish person that believes in the religion of judiasm to be a bad person. I do believe that the over all control that jews take on the world is the reason you see what you do as far as hate goes. They have no nationality accept Israel which was created for them and really does not exist.. I know this makes no sense but if you can pick out what I am trying to say, you understand. If not sorry I answered in code.
